Biography
DeLicia Boyd is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in the state of Maryland and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). DeLicia received her Masters of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to this, DeLicia received her Bachelors of Science in psychology, sociology and anthropology from Towson University.
DeLicia assists clients in creating a more productive, stress free life by means of counseling. She helps clients to identify cognitive distortions and restructure them in effective ways. She also helps develop boundaries and coping mechanisms. DeLicia has worked with a variety of populations who presented with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety and
relationship concerns.
When working with clients, DeLicia utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and person-centered therapy in order to empower clients to confront their challenges. She provides an authentic experience that challenges clients to push past the feeling of being “stuck”. By building genuine relationships, DeLicia is able to create a safe place for clients to create and effectively
implement counseling goals.
