Duwa Mutharika is a focused and solutions-driven leader showcasing eminent career record of developing and growing leadership especially in women, through strengths-based leadership and executive coaching as well as individual and group coaching and mentoring within fast-paced environments in Africa and the United States. She is an International Coaching Federation and COMENSA member and professional coach in good standing for over 7 years.
Duwa has over 20years directly related to increasing operational productivity in organisations by integrating modern technologies and building cohesive relationships and partnerships. She is a skilled Facilitator with 6 years teaching adults essential skills in various organisations including Onyx Therapy Group, international nonprofits, South African corporates and retail businesses.
Duwa is an exceptional speaker and presenter having given a keynote speech about climbing the corporate at University of Pretoria Alumni Association in partnership with the African Leadership Academy; talks at the Girls4Girls Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, Botswana and Lesotho chapters in addition to the ALX headquarters in Johannesburg. She has presented masterclasses on Negotiations for WE Africa and Breaking Barriers through Mentoring for Masterstart, South Africa’s leading online course provider.
Duwa has amassed vast experience with managing at country level, agile project management, organisational leadership, stakeholder engagement, risk management, board advisory and consulting for entrepreneurs and businesses. In addition she is a trained DEI facilitator and consultant. She holds qualifications as a Certified agile project management practitioner and scrum master with risk management training and is a member in good standing of the IRMSA (The Institute of Risk Management South Africa).
Ms Mutharika is also a former diplomat/ trade and tourism attache for the Malawi Consulate in Johannesburg providing trade and tourism services for 5 Southern African countries including Lesotho, Botswana, Mauritius, South Africa and Namibia.
