Nadia Green

Intake Coordinator

Howard University graduate born in Newark, New Jersey and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, Nadia Green’s diverse experiences have always inspired a fascination with human interaction and cultural exchange. Driven by this passion to connect with the world around her, after receiving her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Community Development, Nadia moved to
Madrid and began a career as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher. She then transitioned to an independent ESL tutor collaborating with families and students to improve language fluency through real-world interactions and individually tailored, multimodal content. This spirit for finding joy in helping others thrive confidently in the world transfers into Nadia’s passion for eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health in the black community. Nadia inherently believes in the power of human connectivity and maintaining strong support systems.

These experiences and beliefs are at the core of everything she aspires to do, including her role as an Intake Coordinator. As the first person clients will interact with, Nadia hopes to embody Onyx’s values of integrity, community, culture, and excellence. She respects that deciding to begin therapy is a monumental decision, and she knows it is extremely important to be kind, to
follow up, and to be a physical embodiment of light, hope and positive change. As the majority of people seeking therapy question their decision within the first 24 hours after initially reaching out, Nadia’s goal is to make clients feel heard, respected, inspired, and excited about the possibility of walking into the purpose and vision that the universe has for them.

With her drive and willingness to go above and beyond for both the client and Onyx Therapy Group, Nadia delivers thoughtful care and communication. Whether responding to inquiries, meeting with therapists, planning community events, or supporting executive leadership, through authentic interaction and genuine compassion, she centers the client’s voice to ensure they are paired with the therapist who best meets their personal needs so that they know they are in good hands as they embark on their journey to healing, recovery, and truth.
