Dr. Anthony Batts II is a lifelong learner, educator, and leader from Prince George’s County, Maryland. He is a proud graduate of Suitland High School (2006), the University of Maryland, College Park (2010), Grand Canyon University (2013), and Drexel University (2020).

Dr. Batts began his career in education as a substitute teacher at Gwynn Park High School. He later advanced his teaching journey in Washington, DC, serving at Options Public Charter School (2012), Friendship Public Charter School (2013), and Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, Maryland (2019).

​

Currently, Dr. Batts is the Founder and CEO of the Batts Educational Network, where he promotes academic success through literacy development, growth, upward mobility, and mentorship for students within the communities he serves. His passion for teaching and mentorship continues in higher education as a Professor at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he creates engaging and meaningful learning experiences for his students.
