Biography
Jasmine is a devoted licensed Social worker in Maryland (LGSW) and Washington, DC (LMSW). She earned her Master’s of Social Work from Howard University. She is also a certified yoga instructor. She infuses her clinical work with mindfulness and social-emotional learning. She firmly believes that a holistic approach combined with a clinical aspect allows clients to understand their whole self and the connection between mind, body, and spirit.
Jasmine has experience working with children, adolescents/teens, adults, and older people. She has worked in the mental health field since completing her undergraduate degree at Hampton University. Jasmine has over a decade of experience holding space and serving others. She has worked as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation worker, Case Manager, Youth development coach, and educator. With this combined experience, Jasmine has a vast background of working with people with various histories.
Jasmine’s clinical practice includes cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness. As a psychotherapist, her goal is to help clients shift behavior, increase happiness, overcome problems, reach goals, cultivate a greater understanding of themselves, and improve their overall wellness.
Jasmine enjoys working out, yoga, cooking, and trying new recipes. She enjoys being in nature, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and reading.
