Shahidah has been in DC for over 20 years and during that time, she has seen the city grow and change in many ways. Because of this change, she has developed a passion for Non-Profit work and building community with mothers, families and children across the DMV metro area. This passion has led her to understand the power of education, maternal and mental health, and cultivating prosperous relationships between families and community.

As the Executive Assistant to CEO Dr. LaNail R. Plummer, I have learned the importance of mental health, building and maintaining relationships, and most importantly, understanding the true meaning of community. It brings me great pleasure to contribute to the transformative healing that our community deserves.
